Amazon / Flipkart Order

Fake Amazon order confirmation or delivery failure SMS lead to phishing pages stealing login and payment details. Check orders only in the official Amazon app.

Who is targeted: Amazon.in shoppers — messages often reference plausible order amounts.

Warning signs

  • !Order you did not place with link to cancel
  • !Delivery fee to personal UPI for Amazon order
  • !SMS from non-Amazon sender ID with amazon in URL
  • !Request to confirm address via external link

What to do

  1. 1Open Amazon app → Your Orders to verify
  2. 2Never pay redelivery fee via SMS link
  3. 3Enable two-step verification on Amazon account
  4. 4Report phishing SMS to Amazon and cybercrime.gov.in
