Government Notice

Digital arrest scams impersonate CBI, ED, RBI, NCB, or police via video call — demanding secrecy, remote access, and UPI payment. Real agencies never arrest or collect fines over video call or personal UPI.

Who is targeted: Seniors, NRIs, and anyone isolated at home who may panic when hearing official-sounding threats.

  • !Video call showing uniform or fake ID badge
  • !Threat of arrest, FIR, or account freeze
  • !Instruction not to tell family or disconnect the call
  • !Demand for UPI payment as fine or bail

This check uses rule-based pattern matching only — not live database lookups. We cannot confirm something is safe; we flag known scam patterns. Results are guidance, not legal or financial advice.
