Fake App Download

Malicious APK links mimic Paytm, PhonePe, or bank apps — stealing SMS, OTP, and credentials. Install financial apps only from Google Play or Apple App Store.

Who is targeted: Android users sideloading apps from links in SMS or WhatsApp.

Warning signs

  • !APK download link instead of Play Store
  • !App not available on official store yet
  • !Excessive permissions (SMS, contacts, accessibility)
  • !Misspelled app name or wrong developer name

What to do
