About this scam type

Voice Note & Audio

Voice note scams use urgent audio in Hindi or regional languages — sometimes AI-cloned voices of family or officials. Transcribe what was said and check the script here.

Who is targeted: WhatsApp users who receive audio instead of text — harder to forward for a second opinion.

Warning signs

  • !Urgent money request in voice note from new number
  • !Voice claiming to be bank manager or police
  • !Instruction not to tell anyone in the audio
  • !AI voice that sounds like a relative but wrong number

What to do
